Overview

This is the second section of a twelve-week program designed to get kids and their parents introduced to acting as a career.

This course is HEAVILY geared toward: MASTERING AN AUDITION!

You cannot become an actor unless you have the ability to book a role. While there is a lot of material covered in this class, it is all centered around nailing the audition.

Over the course of the three month program, kids will go from having no experience at all to being in the position of getting an agent, and then submitting professional quality role submissions!

Every week actors are taped in an audition style format (exactly how they would tape for professional auditions) and tapes are sent to parents at the end of each class.

Session 2
Weeks 4-6

Session 2 Overview - Let's get you on screen!

At the end of class 3, kids are given new scripts to work off of throughout this Section.

These scripts will be a little longer but will only have one scene to them making it manageable. In addition to their steady script, they may be given extra scripts to work through based on class material and ability to handle the extra work.

Actors may get the opportunity to be booked in local film projects!

Beginning in this Section and stretching into Section III & IV, the instructors will begin working with local TV/Film companies that may be shooting actual commercials and other various projects in the local area.

We'll start trying to get you booked and begin building your resume.

Class Limit: 10 actors

Attendees: This section is for both kids and parents (up to two adults per child).

Class 4 - Body Language Acting

Now that the actors know their lines, we can move on to the other aspects of acting. In this secession we’ll focus on expanding the scripts but concentrate on the other aspects of an audition that will help land a role.

Class 5 - Auditioning; DOs and DON’Ts

There are things you should and shouldn’t do at an in-person audition or a callback. Knowing what not to do is just as, if not more, important than knowing what to do. In this class you will learn what these are.

Class 6 - Distractions

Audition distractions. What they are, why they are bad, how to prevent them.
